Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (5x8s)
- Must be available for occasional evening hours
- No weekends
- No holidays
- No on-call responsibilities
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience required
Education
- Bachelor's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
- Degree in Health Sciences or another biological science discipline
- Master's degree preferred
Certifications
- ASCP Certified Pathologists' Assistant (PA-ASCP) required
- Demonstrated competency in handling simple to complex anatomic pathology specimens
Technical Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Google Workspace proficiency
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years as a Pathologists' Assistant
- Extensive experience in surgical pathology and autopsy pathology
- Gross examination and dissection of simple and complex specimens
- Specimen photography and documentation
- Frozen section assistance
- Strong laboratory information system (LIS) experience
- Excellent communication with pathologists, surgeons, and laboratory staff
- ASCP certified and currently active
