- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; ASCP certification (HT or HTL); Certified Histotechnician (HT) via ASCP or Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) via ASCP; 1 year of experience in histology
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microtomy, embedding, re-cuts, troubleshooting difficult blocks, tissue specimens, special stains, immunofluorescence, frozen sections, routine histology, and surgical pathology
- Additional Information: The position requires working in a high-volume histology lab, maintaining case integrity, and performing technical procedures and routine maintenance. The histology team works closely with trainers on a daily basis and does not work call or standby shifts.

- Shift hours: 8-hour shifts, start times vary, with shifts ending at 22:30
- Submission requirements: Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN, clinician's middle initial, requested time off, and confirmation of active IL license or initiated application process.
