Job Summary:
The cytotechnologist position is located in Bel Air, Maryland. The role involves working in an inpatient laboratory environment, requiring strong cytotechnologist skills. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position is scheduled for 5x8-hour shifts during the dayshift, and the start date is 07/27/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 5x8 days 08:30-17:00 Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Maryland (or Compact) license, ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification, ASCP-Cytotechnologist (ASCP-CT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. At least 1 year of experience in cytotechnology in an inpatient lab setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: May be required within the specialty.
- Additional Information: The role requires assisting with on-site procedures, making smears, PAP tests, performing quality control and assurance, specimen labeling, and identifying diagnoses. Experience with Epic EMR system is preferred. Candidate must be comfortable with strong cytotechnologist skills, including work with ascitic fluid, bronchial, esophageal, gastric specimens, GMS, iron studies, spinal, staining, Thin-Prep, urine, and other cytology procedures. Vaccinations include a flu vaccine as scheduled.
