Dayton Children’s is a 231-bed, Magnet®-certified, Level I Trauma Center and a free-standing tertiary care children’s hospital serving a 20-county region in southwest Ohio and eastern Indiana. Our medical staff includes more than 250 pediatric specialists across 43 divisions.

At Dayton Children’s, every team member is united by one mission: the relentless pursuit of optimal health for every child within our reach. We serve a pediatric population of over 500,000, and our combined main and south campus Emergency Departments evaluate more than 100,000 children annually. The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and its residency program are based at Dayton Children’s. Our physicians hold faculty appointments at the Boonshoft School of Medicine and teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Residents in adult neurology, pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, family practice, child psychiatry, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and surgery train at Dayton Children’s.
