Second Pathologists’ Assistant wanted for 2016 for employment by 102 year old pathology group, Quad Cities Pathologists, LLC, consisting of 7 pathologists serving the Quad Cities Area of Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

The job will consist mainly of surgical pathology with frozen sections and a few autopsies.

The QC Region (about 55 miles east of The University of Iowa and 175 miles west of Chicago) includes the cities of Moline, East Moline and Rock Island in Illinois, and Davenport, Bettendorf, and Muscatine in Iowa, with housing in all price ranges available. These small towns have good schools, employment opportunities for spouses, relatively low crime rates, and below average costs of living.

Major Quad City Area employers include the World Headquarters of John Deere and Company; The Rock Island Arsenal, a major US Army installation with numerous civilian job opportunities; and a major Alcoa installation. Two large hospital systems compete to serve the area.

The QCA includes two private colleges, a branch of a state university, and two community colleges.

Interstates I-80, I-74 and I-88 enter the QCA for easy automobile transportation.

The QC Airport has service from Delta, United, American, and Allegiant. Non-stop destinations include: Denver, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC (Dulles), and vacation destinations of Las Vegas, Mesa/Phoenix, and St Petersburg/Clearwater and Orlando/Sanford in Florida.
